MogiOhio Software Engineer Job Postings Surge 120%
Ohio saw a significant increase in software engineer job postings in the last 28 days.
By Patrick Doyle, Mogi Research · Oct 11, 2026
Software engineer job postings in Ohio rose 120% in the 28 days to October 11, adding two hundred postings. This surge follows a 62% rise in new software engineer job postings across the US in the same period. Texas and California also saw substantial increases, with Texas adding postings up one hundred and eleven percent and California up sixty seven percent.
The rise in Ohio may be driven by several factors. JPMorgan Chase added three hundred and thirty four software engineer postings, likely contributing significantly to the state's overall numbers. Booz Allen Hamilton also added eight postings, and NetJets added nine.
While the exact reasons for the surge are not specified, increased demand for software engineering talent is a possibility. Technology companies and other sectors requiring software development expertise could be driving this growth in Ohio and other states.
