New job postings for software engineers in California surged by sixty-seven percent in the last 28 days, with five hundred ninety-eight more postings compared to the previous period.
This substantial rise may be attributed to several factors. The overall number of new software engineer job postings across the US also saw a significant increase, rising by sixty-two percent in the same timeframe. Other states like Texas, with a one hundred eleven percent rise, and Ohio, with a one hundred twenty percent rise, also experienced notable increases in software engineer job postings.
In contrast, New Jersey saw a fall of fourteen percent in new software engineer job postings during the same 28-day window. This suggests regional variations in demand for software engineers, with California and Texas showing strong growth while New Jersey experienced a decrease.
Within California, the top employers posting new software engineer roles included Ford Global, JPMorgan Chase, and Boeing. These companies contributed to the overall increase in job postings for the state.
