Canada Job Postings Surge 150% Amidst Global Rise

Canada experienced a surge in new job postings, rising 150 percent from 27,170 to 68,052 in the last four weeks. This growth outpaced the United States, which saw a 144 percent rise, and was slightly behind India's 153 percent increase. The United Kingdom posted the largest percentage increase at 226 percent.

This rise in postings in Canada may be linked to increased economic activity. It could also reflect a seasonal hiring push or a greater focus on recruitment by Canadian companies during this period. The data covers the period from August 16, 2026, to October 10, 2026.

Within Canada, Ontario (ON) posted the most new jobs with 16,178. Quebec (QC) and Alberta (AB) also saw notable numbers. The top roles advertised were Software Engineer, Product Manager, and Full Stack Engineer, though the specific number of postings for these roles in the table is significantly lower than the overall country figures.
