Regular Software Developer with Python

Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Python-based software and automation solutions used in the configuration, setup and verification of advanced electron microscopy systems; Implement new functionality and improve existing automation workflows based on technical and functional requirements; Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality, reliability and correct system behavior; Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve software defects and automation failures; Write clean, maintainable and well-structured Python code following object-oriented programming principles and established coding standards; Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the overall quality of the codebase; Work with Git and follow established software configuration management and development processes; Collaborate closely with other software developers, QA engineers and domain experts within an international engineering environment; Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including refinement, planning, daily meetings and retrospectives; Gradually develop an understanding of the complex systems and domain in which the automation software operates; Maintain relevant technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. Requirements Experience: 3+ years of experience in programming in Python; Experience in writing automated tests in Python; Strong OOP knowledge; Understanding of the common software development processes; Good understanding of software configuration management and experience with Git. Nice to have, depending on the team: Python Science - SciPy, NumPy, Pandas, MatplotLib; Testing - PyTest; Static Checks - Ruff, MyPy; UI - PySide; Personal skills: Team player; Robust personality; Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment; Strong analytic view combined with pragmatic attitude (flexibility); Open communication attitude: active listening and giving feedback; Excellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal) is a must; Work experience in a multinational environment is an advantage.
