Product Manager

Job Summary

Dassian is seeking a Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of SAP-based product offerings, with strong preference for candidates who bring domain experience in the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) industry. This person will bridge the gap between customer/project needs, SAP's evolving platform capabilities, and engineering execution, shaping SAP-based products that serve highly regulated, mission-critical environments.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

- Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for several SAP-integrated product lines, aligning with Dassian company goals, evolving technology, and A&D market/customer demand.
- Gather and prioritize requirements from customers and internal stakeholders to define product features.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAR, CMMC, DCAA/DCMA audit needs) into clear product requirements and user stories for engineering teams.
- Partner with engineering, SAP functional consultants, and UX to plan and deliver releases on SAP S/4HANA, SAP BAIP, or related SAP technology stacks.
- Manage the product backlog, write and refine epics/user stories, and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives with development teams.
- Define and track success metrics (adoption, performance, customer satisfaction) for each release; use data to guide iteration.
- Serve as the internal subject-matter expert on A&D industry workflows (contract management, earned value management, government property, cost accounting standards) as they relate to product features.
- Engage directly with customers and prospects — demos, discovery calls, advisory boards — to validate product-market fit and gather feedback.
- Coordinate go-to-market activities with sales, marketing, and customer success, including positioning, messaging, and enablement materials.
- Monitor SAP roadmap changes (e.g., S/4HANA innovations, SAP Business Data Cloud, Business AI/Joule) and assess impact on product strategy.
- Manage relationships with SAP as a technology partner where relevant (partner programs, co-innovation, certification requirements).

Required Qualifications

- 4+ years of product management experience, ideally on products built on or integrated with SAP (S/4HANA, ECC, BTP, or related modules).
- Working knowledge of SAP data structures, transaction flows, and integration patterns sufficient to have informed conversations with engineering and consulting teams.
- Experience writing clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria; comfort working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills — able to balance customer requests, engineering constraints, and business priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to executive and customer audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

- Direct experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry as a practitioner, consultant, or product manager serving A&D customers.
- Familiarity with government contracting compliance frameworks relevant to A&D (FAR/DFARS, CMMC, ITAR/EAR, earned value management, cost accounting standards).
- Experience with SAP modules commonly used in A&D program and contract management (e.g., project systems, contract/funds management, government property, cost/revenue recognition).
- SAP hands-on configuration/consulting background.
- Experience working at or with an SAP ISV, systems integrator, or SAP-focused consultancy.
- Prior experience selling into or supporting U.S. federal/DoD customers or primes.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
