Job Description
Green-Gate Technology, Inc. is seeking an Power BI Analysts for a proposed Operations Support Services contract. The analysts will work with stakeholders to define reporting needs, prepare data from authorized finance, work-management and facility sources, and develop dependable dashboards and reports for technical and nontechnical audiences.Responsibilities
• Gather and document reporting requirements, definitions, users, refresh needs and acceptance criteria with Directorate stakeholders and the Contract Manager.
• Prepare and model data from approved GFEBS, Annual Work Plan, project, financial, real-property and facility sources in coordination with the Data Warehouse Specialist and system analysts.
• Build and maintain Power BI datasets, measures, dashboards and reports that show work status, financial execution, cost trends, facility data and unresolved exceptions.
• Validate totals, filters, joins, dates, identifiers and calculations against authoritative source records; cross-check material outputs with the second Power BI analyst.
• Document data lineage, business rules, refresh procedures, version changes and quality findings so reports can be reviewed and reproduced.
• Present findings and limitations clearly to leadership and technical staff; revise authorized views in response to approved requirements.
• Apply approved access, sharing and information-handling controls to datasets and reports; escalate source-data issues for correction by authorized users.
Required qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, information systems, computer science, finance, business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least five years of business intelligence or data analytics experience, including substantial hands-on Power BI development with Power Query, data modeling and DAX measures.
• Experience combining multiple enterprise datasets and reconciling reports to source transactions or control totals.
• Strong SQL and Excel skills and ability to explain methods, assumptions and results to technical and nontechnical users.
• Experience designing clear visualizations, documenting requirements and testing report accuracy before release.
