Machine Learning Engineer (AI Platform & Services)

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Hilti, you will be part of our global AI Platform & Services team, building and operating scalable AI solutions that enhance personal, team and customer productivity and power business-critical applications.
You will work at the intersection of data science, software engineering, and platform engineering, turning advanced analytics machine learning models, and LLM-based applications into robust, production-grade solutions used across Hilti’s global value chain—from customer-facing digital products to internal decision-making systems.

What You’ll Bring

• Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering, AI Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Engineering or Data Science.
• Strong programming skills in Python
Preferred Experience with:
• ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
• Agent-based frameworks / orchestration tools (e.g., LangGraph, LangChain, or similar)
• Data processing & retrieval (e.g., Pandas, Spark, RAG)
Preferred Experience building and deploying models using:
• REST APIs / microservices
• containerization (Docker)
• CI/CD pipelines
• Cloud & Platform
• Experience with Azure (e.g., Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Functions, Storage)
Familiarity with MLOps / LLMOps concepts:
• model lifecycle management
• monitoring & observability
• automated retraining pipelines
