Director of Software Development (Engineering Enablement)

Director of Software Development (Engineering Enablement) to manage Site Reliability, Developer Experience, Developer Tooling, and DevOps for a large programming team, developing Java-based systems on AWS within an Agile environment. Toronto, Ontario (hybrid) Permanent, full time  Responsibilities: Enhance the organization's engineering capabilities in DevOps, Developer Experience, Developer Tooling, and Site Reliability. Lead a team of managers and managers of managers, including interviewing, coaching, performance appraisals, talent development, etc. Team up with stakeholders to define strategic imperatives and execute roadmaps that create original digital customer products and services. Work within agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support Java-based solutions built on AWS Partner with leaders across the company to architect, design and develop enterprise platforms, including large-scale data and ML applications Must have: 7+ years experience in people management with direct reports Experience working in an Engineering Enablement specific role, focused on Site Reliability, Developer Experience, Developer Tooling , and DevOps  10+ years of experience in software engineering using Java (preferably 13+ years) Extensive AWS experience Extensive experience leading multiple teams within an Agile environment Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering preferred a Masters Degree
