DevOps Engineer

Intelligent Automation, Inc. (IAI – https://www.i-a-i.com) is seeking team members who are outstanding candidates with a background in design, development and maintenance of microservices, supporting a full stack web platform. The candidates should be comfortable in managing containerized software in hybrid cloud and physical infrastructure. Candidates will work in a highly agile and dynamic R&D environment that focuses on technology transition and product development. IAI is interested in candidates that can support (and/or lead) a team of multidisciplinary researchers and developers in maintaining the development lifecycles of a rapidly evolving product.

JOB DUTIES:
Depending on the experience and interest, job duties will include:
• Perform maintenance activities including deployment, backup, restoration and performance tuning on a variety of messaging and storage backend (e.g. Solr, ElasticSearch, Kafka, MySql, Cassandra, etc.)
• Maintain and develop DevOps automation using tools such as Ansible, Chef, and/or Puppet
• Automating and orchestrating the process of software deployment (CI/CD) to build, test, and release containerized software applications more rapidly, frequently, and reliably
• Improve existing infrastructure to incorporate latest technology best practices and cross application integrations (dynamic load balancing, highly available and fault tolerant solutions)
• Orchestrate deployments in a several environments
• Produce clear documentation for delivered solutions
• Develop and deploy monitoring and alerting capabilities for diverse set of services and infrastructure
• Support monitoring of deployed services and applications
• Communicate effectively in multidisciplinary team environment

DESIRED SKILLS:
Prior experience with one or more of these technologies is a plus, but not required.
• Eager and motivated to perform research, learn and develop new technology
• 2+ years of experience in related technologies
• Experience with containers and containerization
• Proficiency in Ansible, Puppet and/or Docker
• Hands on experience operating cloud, big data tools and frameworks such as Kubernetes, AWS, Hadoop ecosystem, Kafka, Nifi, Solr, Spark/Storm
• Database experience in one or more software such as MongoDB, MySQL/SQL, InfluxDB, Prometheus and/or Cassandra
• Logging and Monitoring using ELK stack, Grafana, log4j
• Comfortable working in Linux environment

EDUCATION:
A bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required.
