• Build and refine architecture for automating code deployment and testing
• Research and implement tools to improve the performance and reliability of our systems
• Monitor and mitigate against performance issues and threats
Successful candidates will have experience with...
• Linux systems administation
• Cloud hosting and Amazon Web Services
• Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) tools
• Writing bash, Chef, and Ruby scripts for automation
• Model-View-Controller frameworks
• Scaling relational and non-relational databases
• Researching and implementing monitoring tools
• Performing load testing
• Securing web applications
• Ensuring systems availability at all times
We love to see...
• Knowledge of when to apply a band-aid vs. performing surgery
• Knowledge of when to integrate vs. create
• Willingness to own our uptime
• Experience with PHP or Ruby on Rails
• Experience with Git
• Experience working with RightScale
• Passion for behavior- and test-driven development
