Data Technician – Structured Cabling Location: Lowell, AR, with travel to project sites Job Type: Contract Duration: 2–3 months at a time Start Dates: October 26, November 2, or November 9 Shift: Night Shift — 7:00 PM–6:00 AM Pay Rate: $25–$32/hour Openings: 24 Data Technicians Schedule: 3 teams of 8 technicians Per Diem: Not available Job Summary We are seeking experienced Data Technicians to support structured cabling and data infrastructure projects. Technicians will work night shifts and travel to various project sites. Strong attendance, communication skills, and hands-on cabling experience are required. Responsibilities Perform structured cabling installations and related data infrastructure work. Terminate and perform punch-downs for Cat5/Cat6 cabling . Test and troubleshoot network cables. Tone and identify cables. Hang and install network cabinets. Install network switches. Install wireless access points. Perform fiber-related work as needed. Perform fusion splicing when required. Maintain a safe and organized work environment. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and site personnel. Travel to project sites as required. Required Qualifications Hands-on experience with structured cabling/data center installations . Experience with Cat5/Cat6 terminations and punch-downs. Experience testing and toning cables. Ability to install cabinets, switches, and access points. Strong communication skills. Ability and willingness to work night shifts (7 PM–6 AM) . Must be willing to travel through the end of the year. Reliable attendance is required. Preferred Qualifications Fiber optic cabling experience. Fusion splicing experience. Previous data center or large-scale structured cabling project experience. PPE & Requirements Candidates must provide their own: Class E-rated hardhat Safety-toe boots Safety glasses Hi-Vis vest/shirt A company truck will be provided. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and clean MVR . Important: Attendance is a high priority. Excessive or unnecessary absences may result in replacement. Candidates must be willing to travel and work on projects for 2–3 months at a time .
