East West Rail is a nationally significant railway project which aims to deliver much-needed transport connections for the vibrant communities between Oxford, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Cambridge. Together these communities contribute around £111 billion to the national economy each year. EWR is one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects, which the government committed to delivering in full in the Autumn 2024 Budget, and again in the 2025 Spending Review as part of its ambition to unlock the potential of the Oxford to Cambridge Growth Corridor. EWR is being championed by the Government as a key driver to economic growth leading to a potential £78 Billion boost to the UK economy: supporting new towns, housing, and regeneration. Role Summary: To help deliver that vision, we're looking for an Application Developer to join our growing Data Centre of Excellence (DCoE) team. This is a specialist, hands-on Microsoft Power Platform development role. We need an experienced developer who can step into the position and begin designing and delivering production-ready applications using Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse. Working closely with our Lead Power Platform Developer, you will take ownership of the design, development, deployment and support of business-critical solutions built primarily on the Microsoft Power Platform and wider Microsoft technology stack . This is not a generalist software development role: successful applicants must already have strong practical experience of delivering Power Apps, Power Automate workflows and Dataverse solutions in a business environment. This is an opportunity for an established Power Platform developer to apply their expertise from day one while helping to shape secure, scalable and well-governed digital solutions for one of the UK's most ambitious infrastructure programmes.
